Rick Case Dealerships additional 100,000 extended warranty isn’t worth the paper its printed on it’s a lure and a tool used for entrapment to get the consumers to purchase there vehicles but are not honored in the since in which one is lead to believe. My engine blew in my 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid due to a manufactured defect a rod was thrown and the engine needs to be replaced, to replace the engine is $10, 357.43 there warranty company PASI Protective Asset Service Insurance only wants to cover $4700 leaving me a DISABLED consumer with a remainder of $5632.24.

I still owe $8400 to the lender and have to keep full coverage insurance on it due to it be financed. Hyundai Corporation is also aware of my engine failure as I filed a complaint with them also however they were not surprised because the’ve had a 3.5 million recall on there vehicles for ENGINE FAILURE do not buy Hyundai’s nor KIA’s as Hyundai manufactures there vehicles as will. I as the consumer thought that by going to Rick Case I was making a educated decision because of there extended warranty. I did as required as a consumer and kept immaculate maintenance on my vehicle and all for what nothing because in the end the warranty doesn’t cover the total cost of the repairs.

To add insult to my hardship I phoned Mr. Rick Case directly and spoke with his personal executive secretary Ms. Carol Barbour who instructed me to go into Rick Case Hyundai so that they could help me and I spoke directly with the general manager Mark Johnson as I was instructed to do per Ms. Carol Barbour as I made aware the situation with there warranty company and being that this is where I purchased the car from and Mr.

Rick Case claims his customers are his friends in his published book that he passes out to all his customers I thought they would actually be willing to help me, and there idea of helping me was to put me in a 2018 Elantra a grade below my vehicle that would have cost $22,359.33 and rolling over what I still own on my Sonata, extended me back to a 7 year loan were as I only had 3 years left on my current loan. Talk about a slap in the face that’s not helping me that’s burying me and the kicker is they only wanted to offer me $3000 for my trade in, the car in which the engine blew in that’s $1700 short of what there warranty PASI offered me. As I stated Mr. Case has a published book My Customers My Friends I certainly don’t feel as though I was treated as such.

I’ve now been without transportation since 04/07/2019 I’ve shelled out 100 of dollars for rentals that the warranty company refuses to reimburse me for and I’ve lost my part time job to top it all off. Im sharing my story in hopes to help other consumers not to become prey to RICK CASE Dealerships there extended warranty is offered on ever single one of his vehicles at every dealership that he owns and there ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS. If you don’t believe me check the complaints filed with the BBB Better Business Bureau.
